Mr. Cassidy graduated from Depauw University with a B.A. in Political Science in 1982. He received his J.D. from Loyola University Law School in 1986.
 

 
    Experience

 
Mr. Cassidy is one of the founding Partners of Sudekum, Cassidy & Shulruff, Chtd. and is the firm's Managing Partner. Prior to founding the firm, he was an Associate at a major Chicago law firm from
1986 through 1993. Mr. Cassidy handles his own cases, supervises Associates and directs the day-
to-day management of the firm.
 

  Expertise

 
Mr. Cassidy concentrates his practice in the area of first-party insurance defense with a specialty in property and insurance coverage analysis. He also practices third-party liability defense work with a concentration in construction defects, fires and explosions and complex litigation.

His work entails a wide spectrum of clients, including but not limited to, insurance companies,
self-insured businesses, and commercial clients. Additionally, he is actively involved in alternative
dispute resolution methods, including but not limited to, mediation and arbitration.
Since 2000, he has resolved more than 200 cases through Alternative
Dispute Resolution.

Mr. Cassidy is a member of the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance
Law Section and the Illinois and DuPage County Bar Associations.
