Mr. DeVito graduated from Northwestern University with a
B.A. in Political Science in 1974. He received his J.D.
from John Marshall Law School in 1978. |

Mr. DeVito has been a Partner with the firm since its inception
in 1993. Prior to joining the firm of Sudekum, Cassidy &
Shulruff, Chtd., Mr. DeVito founded the property group at a
major Chicago law
firm where he handled first-party arson and
fraudulent theft loss claims. He has defended large
product
liability matters and primarily handles first-party insurance
claims. |

Mr. DeVito concentrates his practice in arson and fraud defense,
insurance policy interpretation, negligence and products
liability cases. One of his most noteworthy accomplishments
involved obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a Fortune 500
company in a $32 million products liability
case in the Circuit
Court of Cook County. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar
Association and is
on the Board of Directors of M.M. & A.
