Mr. Fitzpatrick graduated from the University of Notre
Dame with B.A.'s in Psychology and Sociology in 1988. He
received his J.D., with honors, from Loyola University of Chicago,
School of Law in 1994. |

Mr. Fitzpatrick joined the firm in February of 1999 and became a
partner in January 2006. Prior to
joining Sudekum, Cassidy & Shulruff, Chtd., Mr. Fitzpatrick was
an Associate at a Chicago-area insurance defense firm for three
and one half years where his practice focused on the defense of
personal injury cases. He also completed an externship with the
United States Attorney's office in Chicago and an internship
with Federal Judge George Marovich prior to entering private
practice. |

Mr. Fitzpatrick concentrates his practice in the area of
insurance defense litigation and health care fraud. He has tried
more than 40 personal injury jury trials in five different
counties in
the State of Illinois. In addition, Mr. Fitzpatrick
has arbitrated over one hundred
twenty-five personal
injury
cases and has completed hundreds of physician
and party
depositions.
He has given seminars on topics such as health care
provider licensing
violations and how to defend soft-tissue
claims. He has
also consulted with
insurance clients in the
development of policies to
address the handling of
suspicious
soft-tissue claims. He currently serves
as an elected board
member for the Illinois chapter of the National Society
of
Professional
Insurance Investigators.
