Larry concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury defense, insurance coverage, property loss, fire and arson investigation, and commercial litigation. He has tried more than 70 cases to verdict in Cook, Lake, McHenry, Dupage and Kane Counties, and in Lake County, Indiana. He is also an adjunct professor at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where he teaches advanced trial practice.

Larry has written extensively on law- and business-related issues for The New York Times, the National Law Journal, the American Bar Association Journal, Working Woman magazine and other publications.

Before attending law school Mr. Shulruff was a newspaper reporter for various newspapers, including the Denver Post.

• Not guilty verdict in a rear-end car accident case with admitted negligence. Plaintiff’s medical specials totaled $57,781

• Not guilty verdict in a rear-end car accident case on the Kennedy Expressway. Plaintiff’s medical specials totaled $42,174

• Not guilty verdict in a car accident case with admitted negligence and the defendant failed to appear at trial

• Directed verdict in a conversion case. The court struck plaintiff’s bad faith and consumer fraud count before trial.

• Not guilty verdict in favor of an insurance company, which was named as a defendant by a sporting goods store whose building was destroyed by fire

• Not guilty verdict on behalf of a retail store that was sued by a plaintiff who claimed she suffered a torn meniscus which required surgery when a cart struck her knee
